Vice President Customer Service, Operations and Order to Cash
Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Vice President Customer Service, Operations and Order to Cash, are to:
* Be responsible for the Customer Service and Order to Cash (O2C) organizations serving the Pharmaceutical (B2B) and Consumer Health (Retail) divisions;
* Diverse organization of direct employees, 3rd party partners, and Bayer Shared Service Center;
* Consumer Health (Retail): Customer facing teams supporting sales, logistics, customer JBPs, and operations;
* Represent the North America Region within the Global Bayer Customer Service and Order to Cash Organization of Subject Matter Experts, Business Partners, Governance, and Capabilities;
* Be responsible for all policies and Internal Control System (ICS) controls. This includes local laws and controls associated with regulated products;
* Order to Cash is inclusive of service, order to bill, bill to cash, cash collection, and deduction management;
* Other aspects of the work include LEAN continuous improvement, data systems & EDI, and contract management;
* Key Metrics: Customer Service & Satisfaction, Cash - DOS, Deduction Optimization, and Operational Budget;
* Operational Excellence and performance via 3rd Parties and Shared Service Centers;
* Allocate policies for Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health products based on company policy and legal requirements;
* Drive implementation and improve effectiveness of global Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Credit Management tools, guidelines and processes (FSCM - Financial Supply Chain Management);
* Define processes for exception handling of order processing steps and ensure implementation;
* Transformation Capability: Bayer has implemented accelerated transformation programs (organization, capability and organization design. This role will lead the transformation journey for North America.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in customer service and order to cash operations, finance, and/or shared service operations or Master's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in customer service and order to cash operations, finance, and/or shared service operations;
* At least 15 years of combined related Pharmaceutical, Consumer Health, Retail, or CGP experience;
* Strong practical experience leading diverse operations, locations, and multi-cultural teams;
* Broad knowledge of all facets of supply chain operations;
* Distribution experience enables success in the role;
* Knowledge of similar company and customer supply chain processes and operations including size and complexity;
* Proven experience with leading major projects and developing strong working relationships with stakeholders, the O2C community and customers;
* Knowledge of IT system and Supply Chain Management (SCM) tools (FSCM, DISTEX, SAP);
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills (with 3rd party and internal stakeholders);
* Exceptional decision making and problem-solving skills and the ability to interface at the senior level with third parties/development partners;
* Proven ability to manage staff effectively in a global organization, energizing and enabling teams to achieve outstanding results;
* Ability to embrace change and be able to work in a changing environment;
* Exceptional communication/presentation skills both oral and written;
* Strong leadership skills in a changing environment;
* Customer Focus and the ability to influence on strategic direction;
* Strategic thinking;
* Creativity & innovation driving continuous improvement and automation;
* Adept at working in ambiguity;
