Overall Purpose of the Role The Voice Solutions Delivery Engineer, responsible for working with a team of internal and external partners to deliver complex voice solutions in alignment with our business needs and overall network strategy. The engineer selected for the role will be expected to focus on transforming Barclays PSTN connectivity in EME and NA from legacy TDM to SIP based transport via SBCs. You will be expected to work closely with our vendors and carriers to deliver on projects requirements within agreed timescales and ensure the designed solution is aligned with our telephony strategy. What will you be doing? Working with carriers and SBC providers to design and deploy PSTN SIP solutions for the bank. Creation of design documentation that meets the business requirements whilst also being resilient and cost efficient Configuration and deployment of voice hardware, or management of vendor resources where applicable Creation of appropriate support documentation for handover to Voice Operations. Proactively engage stakeholders and end users to receive feedback and ensure requirements and expectations are properly met Work with Infrastructure partners to prioritize work Work with operations teams to ensure efficient handover of projects into run. What we're looking for 4 years of experience in designing and implementing SIP PSTN voice networks 4 year in-Depth technical knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and SME 2 years of in-depth technical knowledge of Ribbon Core SBC infrastructure and especially the 5400 model. 2 years of experience in developing and presenting technical documentation 3 years of experience acting as a technical PM to manage vendor deliverables and internal teams Skills that will help you in the role Experience working for a global organisation and deploying SIP PSTN solutions for regions across the globe Experience upskilling other team members Able to work to tight deadlines and at unsociable hours if needed. Strong experience managing 3rd party deliverables for both internal and external parties.
